Bare Beauty specializes in body waxing using hard wax, also know as “cold wax”

Hard wax is less aggressive on the skin for the reason being it only sticks to you hair not you skin, making your wax experience more comfortable. The wax itself becomes its own strip. No woven strips required. 

First an fore most make sure you have the proper length. Exfoliate the night before if you have a shower mitten, or your more then welcome to pick up product before your appointment. Wear lose fitting clothing this will help reduce friction/irritation. Cotton underwear is recommend, avoid caffeine/alcohol 4-5 hours before, a pain reliever may be taken 30-40 mins before your appointment. Come properly hydrated.

When considering waxing, hair should be at least 1/4 of an inch (As long as a long grain of rice) To simplify the answer at least 2-3 weeks from you last shave. Anything shorter an the wax wont pick it up.If you hair is longer we can also wax you just be mindful that extra length may cause more discomfort.  

Waxing can last anywhere from 3-6 weeks depending per person. It’s recommend 3-4 weeks for facial wax an underarms. For all other parts of the body its recommended to get waxed every 4-6 weeks. Pregnant woman will see hair grow sooner due to increased hormones.

Waxing can be a bit uncomfortable. Every one has a different pain tolerance, so it can vary for each individual. First wax may seem the most uncomfortable, but it gets easier when staying consistent an following after care! Make sure to come in within the recommended time.

Avoiding caffeine an alcohol 4-5 hours before your appointment will help reduce sensitivity. For woman scheduling around your cycle at least one week before or after your cycle will help reduce discomfort. Staying properly hydrated with H2O an exfoliating the night before will allow for the hair to be more easily removed. Thus making your wax experience better. If okay with you doctor, a pain reliever can help reduce discomfort if taken 30 mins prior to your appointment. Waxing won’t be pain free but these tips will definitely make your experience a little easier.

Yes, irritation will vary by individual an by the area being waxed. Facial waxing will have minimal redness an irritation that will normally go down within 24 hours.other area of the body with coarse hair may take up to 48 hours. Sometimes for new clients or clients with deep rooted follicles could experience what is referred to “pin point bleeding” which is small blood spots in the follicle. This is normal usaully only occurs on the first wax.

Waxing has many benefits such as longer lasting results. No need to shave every couple of days. Hair becoming finer, smoother, an sparse. Avoid razor burns an ingrown hairs with waxing.

The simple answer is yes! It’s perfectly safe to get waxed while pregnant, unless your doctors advises not to. You may even get waxed all the way up to your 9th month. Keep in mind due to increased hormones you will have more sensitivity. We recommend starting early on in you pregnancy to help reduce discomfort.

Everyone’s body/experience is different when giving birth. We recommend waiting at least 6-8 weeks from delivery If delivered vaginally. If you had a c-section we can not wax over your scar until your 6 months healed. 

Absolutely! All of our body’s are different or maybe birth control makes our period come unexpectedly. We are able to wax you as long as a new tampon/cup is inserted before your service. If you don’t have a tampon we can provide one here for 1.00 charge. Keep in mind you will be more sensitive during this time as well as one week before/after your cycle. So if you can try scheduling around to help reduce discomfort. If cancelations occur fees will apply. 

For the first 24-48 hours you should avoid any pools,beaches,saunas,hot showers, tanning, anything that cause sweating or friction such as exercise or sexual intercourse. Just for the first two days. Reason being your pores are open so we want to avoid bacteria entering your freshly waxed skin. These activities may cause you to break out/get an infection or cause irritation to you skin.

Also remember to exfoliate 2 days after you wax 3-4 times a week an also hydrate daily with our deck scrub an polish.
